According to a recent release put out by governor Kate Brown, retail stores like ours will be allowed to re-open under certain guidelines beginning May 15. While we are excited to have you back, we do not plan to quickly return to "business as usual." The fact is, the way we work and the way you shop has changed and we must all learn a new way forward. With that in mind, we plan to re-open slowly & safely, in stages, in the hope of running our shop in a way that is both sustainable and enjoyable for everyone.
For us, the first stage (May 15th - 31st) is a more structured continuation of what we've been doing over the last 8 weeks with the addition of a trial week of appointment shopping. Here are the details:
We continue to upload our extensive collection to our THINGS TO BUY page and we strongly encourage you to take a look there first and place your order online whenever possible. We offer shipping, curbside pick-up (now on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 12-4) and Portland delivery (on Wednesdays and Fridays). If you don't see what you're looking for online, you can contact us to request a specific item and we will work with you via email, DM and/or text to share our current stock. We will also be experimenting with a week of private appointment shopping (May 16, 19 & 21st) . Go to our APPOINTMENT page to request your personal shopping slot (from 15-45 minutes). We will require that any customer who visits the shop wear a mask and use the provided hand-sanitizer upon entering and exiting. We are accepting payment by credit card only at this time.
We plan to assess this method of business - along with any new government guidelines - over the next few weeks and then make adjustments as necessary starting June 1st. This is a new way of operating, for all of us, and we truly appreciate your continued support and flexibility as we navigate this uncharted territory.
