TELEFON is an annual celebration of National Poetry Month. Each April we collaborate with local poets who write original pieces specifically for installation in our phone booth. We have an opening party at the shop with readings, drinks and door prizes. You'll see photos from the previous Telefon nights below.

2017: The prompt was "Time Travel" - in keeping with the idea that reading or listening to words penned long ago can be it's own form of that elusive phenomenon. Soundcloud files and photos coming soon...

2016: The prompt was "Confessional" - in keeping with the nature of phone booths as spaces that hold spoken confidences and secrets. "Love Bird" is a longer sound & spoken word piece. Installed in it's own phone, the listener would pick up the sound where the last person had chosen to hang up. The other poems are shorter, each intended to be enjoyed in their entirety.
