Do you have a fundraiser, auction or charity event that needs a donation?
Great! We’d love to help out.
Here is how we do it:
Every year we are able to give away $500 in the form of gift certificates. We create five $50 certificates and ten $25 certificates in January and distribute them throughout the course of the year. Once the gift certificates are gone, donations end until the following year.
We try to space out donations, usually giving out 1 or 2 certificates each month, so it helps if you can give us your written donation request at least 4 weeks in advance. Please include your organization’s 501(c)(3) number, the date and description of the event and an explanation of where the proceeds will go. Due to the number of requests we receive and our deliberation process, we do not give walk-in, “on-the-spot” donations.
When overwhelmed with requests, our decision-making process is made easier by giving preference to organizations that:
-are local to the Sunnyside neighborhood or SE Portland
-work in historical preservation & education
-help create housing for needy families
-support the local arts and culture community
